i bought a samsung ssd 830 (model MZ-7PC128)with 128 gigs today and built it in my mac pro (2007) with no adapter and with no problems. i just removed my old harddisk and put the new ssd directly into the sata port of my mac pro. started up from snow leopard dvd, made a format to „mac os extended“ journaled and booted from ssd. because the new ssd does not fit in the original apple tray, i made a little mod with a original apple headphone case, to hold the ssd in the right level position. i fixed the headphone case with double sided tape on the cooler housing. if my post was helpful, i would be pleased if you watch my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/daleyelama …see pictures from my „mod“ here: [IMG]http://i44.tinypic.com/21jrjop.jpg[/IMG]
